Training

In March, the team practices poolside at the new YMCA using smaller practice paddles then in May when the water is warmer we move to Little Lake which is located right downtown. We dock our two dragon boats at the dock next to the Holiday Inn. Each team member must go through a safety exercise in the pool before getting in the boat and the team is working on improving our safety guidelines. Later in May, team members are encouraged to attend a dragon boat "boot camp" nearby.
