Since 2008, Survivors Abreast has organized and hosted an Awareness Weekend in October Breast Cancer Awareness month. Inspired by past team members Caroline Basciano-Welch, the Survivors Abreast “awareness committee members “organized and invited several local health-related organizations to set up booths with staff to answer questions from the public and give out information and resources about female and male breast cancer diagnosis, treatment, recovery and support.
